Direct marketing
Asia Pacific Journal of Mathematics does not carry out direct marketing. The journal does not send unsolicited invitations to submit manuscripts or to join the editorial board, and does not solicit business by email or by other direct means.
Ownership and management
Asia Pacific Journal of Mathematics is owned and published by Asia Pacific Academic, a not-for-profit academic publisher founded in 2013 in Auckland, New Zealand. Asia Pacific Academic publishes books and peer-reviewed journals in the mathematical sciences. Its address is the one given above.
Editorial and business responsibilities are kept separate. Responsibility for the scholarly content of the journal rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board. Decisions on individual manuscripts are taken by the handling Editor on the basis of the reviewers’ reports, as set out on the Editorial Workflow page; the publisher takes no part in those decisions and does not overrule them. The publisher is responsible for production, hosting, distribution and preservation.
Other revenue
The journal is financed by the article processing charge described on the Article Processing Charges page. The journal receives no subscription or other reader-side income and accepts no advertising or sponsorship. The journal may also charge a fee for permission to use an article for a commercial purpose, as provided for in Section 12 of the Publication Ethics statement. No such fee bears on any editorial decision. No payment influences whether a manuscript is accepted, and no payment can be made to secure publication or to have a manuscript handled more quickly: as stated on the Article Processing Charges page, the decision on a manuscript is taken by the handling Editor on scientific grounds alone, and the charge falls due only after a manuscript has been accepted.
Asia Pacific Academic is a not-for-profit publisher and applies any surplus to its publishing operations. It also publishes books and other journals in the mathematical sciences; no income from those activities bears on editorial decisions taken by this journal.
